(Louiseville) The project to set up a therapeutic marijuana plant in Louiseville is taking another step. The developers will soon begin construction of a 60,000-square-foot plant in the regional park of the Maskinong MRC, a project valued at $ 4.4 million.
In May 2016, the Maskinong RCM sold approximately 700,000 square feet of land to these developers from outside the region.
However, they are awaiting Health Canada's decision to apply for a license to produce pot for medical purposes.
The construction of the mill is part of the process put in place by the Canadian government.
If the project is accepted by Health Canada, the plant should hire about 15 workers in the short term.
