Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:Quick Question about Supply Agreement to Scientus Pharma

RE:RE:Quick Question about Supply Agreement to Scientus PharmaYukonJer, thanks for the informative post.  I didnt realize the potential of regenerating plants.  However, I think you might have messed up in your calcualtions.  If they are generating $4.8 million revenue from selling 25,000 plants it works out to approximately $192 per plant, so I'm not sure how you came up with the $4 per plant.

Basically they are selling the plants at wholesale pricing.  Allows them to allocte a certain percentage of their phase 2 build out that just came online.  They need to gorw into the space that they just added from phase 2.

I'm trying to establish how much square footage is required to supply the 25,000 plants.

not sure about this but after their plants have flowered they might strip all bud. The plant can be regenerated by setting it back to a longer light cycle of light. Usually 16hrs per day. Sun with supplemental lighting. All leaves etc will grow back in 2 weeks or so. I assume they are doing something along these lines as I cant see them selling plants for $4 a pop when they could produce 10 x. more in revenue allowing it to flower. Just an idea. The process is called regeneration. You can even reflower same plant 2 to 3 times. Without loosing potency this way. Anyways just putting it out there. Also. Im investigating germanys electricity costs. 3x that of canada. They are way more environmentally conscious than canada and i have a feeling they will be going the way of greenhouses instead of with the large carbon footprint of indoor. Will keep everyone posted.
