From a trading perspective I understand your thinking in terms of the price needing to fill the gap, however Your optimism of the gap being filled needs to take into consideration what caused that gap up in the first place.  Gaps don't always get filled especially when there is a significant market shift in sentiment.  If the fear on redemption run has subsided, and Aimia has already confirmed they are in talks with new partners, this gap up is most likely the knee jerk response to the alleviation of market fear,  most of which has already previously been priced into the stock.  This makes the currently market price significantly undervalued
