Road permit? Not just yet.

Road permit? Not just yet.At the risk of getting a one star rating I post the following:

August 31 at the latest the review board has to make their recommendation on the all season road.
If they recommend it, it then goes to the Federal Minister of INAC for his decision.
He has, I think, 4-5 months to make his decision, but could ask for an extension (not likely and might be sooner).

Then, and only then, begins the permitting process. That is likely to take another 6-8 months. It will likely consist of fulfilling ALL the various mitigations that the review board recommends and maybe some more from the minister of INAC.

Parks Canada, also has to issue their permit for the section of the road inside the park.

So, we are still along way from getting the permit, and that's if everything goes well.

I'll stay positive and guess that is what will happen. The alternative is too much to contemplate.

So, realistically, We can expect the permit approximately this time next year.
