Just Another Pearl on a String, or a Nice Pearl Necklace?I believe RF once declared the existing mines on the The African Copperbelt a "string of pearls", and that years ago, they spotted some interesting geology close by that promoted a closer look see. IVN uncovered what is now the Komoa deposit and further uncovered the Kakula deposit which is still being characterized now, through ongoing core sample drilling. But the string of pearl comment from RF got me thinking. Since each mine represents a proverbial pearl on a string and each has been around a while, it would be interesting to review the history on each mine to see if jurisdictional issues caused their respective shareholders any grief over time.
Rather than read yet another message about how much the shares are undervalued from a size and grade of the prospective mines perspective, I would like to know the history of the following mines which are located not far from the KK deposit. But alas I'm a bit lazy....With detailed information however, we would be able to get a sense and extrapolate the historical jurisdictional risks IVN faces operating in the region.
