RE:RE:RE:Had to be short covering ( buy in style--mkt!! )I don't think things work like this -- it wouldn't make any sense.  I don't know how shorting works, but this would cause chaos.  Suppose your brokerage sold your shares as shorts to someone else, and then you lock them up by selling at an excessive price -- do they now have to buy them back?  Does the person who bought short have to wake up every morning wondering if their trade has been destroyed?  Can shareholders in a stock that's under pressure keep it from being shorted just by putting their shares up for sale?  

I mean, it doesn't matter -- if you want to list your GTT shares at $5.00, go ahead.  I just doubt that it has any effect on short interest.  And practically, if it did have an effect, this would have to be done by one of the large institutional shareholders to make a difference.
