New Drillship headed for GuyanaThe Noble Corporation Bob Douglas drillship is headed to Guyana to begin work on a three year contract in the Exxon Staebroek block beginning in the first half of 2018, according to the Offshore Energy Today website. On the way, the Bob Douglas will fulfill a one month contract with Tullow in Surinam. The article states that the Staebroek estimated groos recoverable to be between 2.25 and 2.75 Billion boe. And Exxon has previously stated that there will ultimately be 4 drilling centers and a total of 17 wells (8 producing and 9 injecting) with production scheduled to start in 2020.
