RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:CDS Policy - Bruce Linton's red herring
I didn't give an opinion on whether or not aphria should be delisted. I do think it's different for a canadian company to operate a federally illegal operation in the US then an American company operating within their own state under state laws seems a little ballsy to me and if the feds did act knowing this administration they would probably target foreign companies breaking federal laws before upsetting the home team. They might just throw seccions that bone who knows. I'm not saying it likely but it wouldn't surprise me if some Republican started chirping about foreign companies setting up and taking stake in federally illegal pot operations. Personally I think it's a big mess federal and state laws shouldn't contradict. I'm not sure how I'd fix that problem bud I'm canadian so it's not really my problem. You conviently used ontario based dispensaries as your example but what about the licenced dispensaries in Vancouver? Perfect comparison for state vs federal legality and aphrias play into the grey market. I didn't say I agree with bruce more I see his point of view. If you reread my post I have more of a shiit or get off the pot opinion on v Bruce and the us. Its clear he doesnt want to roll the dice when it comes to legality and he feels he shouldnt have to. I think hes not willing to expose canopy and take the risk and ideally he shouldn't have to but were in a global transition period and not everythings as transparent as bruce and many other would like it to be. To your "last point" I'm not solely invested in canopy if you look in my post history I've said numerous times I'm (was) an aphria share holder along with a multitude of companies in this sector. I recently sold aph until I get little more clarity once that comes I'll probably be back in. In the mean time my money has been better of in mjn and it looks like it will be the first to run so I'm happy this fiasco happend. To your point on aphria growth. There is more to consider then grow space. A large part of canopy cash burn is their labour force. I'm my opinion aphria better get their team in place asap you want synergy and a well oiled operation when rec hits not trainees learning the ropes. Tgers also a matter of setting up a direct sales platfor if they intend to capitalize on retail margins and value added products. Also aph is not building 2mm sqft that is disingenuous. Aph sold 100 of the 200 acres to Nuuvera on which Nuuvera will build a 1mm sqft greenhouse with aph advising them for a fee and yes aph invested in Nuuvera but it was a small investment they did not take Nuuvera over so while aph will have a small stake in that 1mm sqft greenhouse you can not attribute that full 1mm sqft to aph grow space. While I've previously pointed out flaws I see in aph to the fan boys that show up here I am fully willing to acknowledge canopy's as well but this thread wasn't a canopy vs aphria thing until your last post I even said they aren't comparable because they are taking different approaches so I'm not sure why the tone of your last post is bringing back up the aph vs canopy argument that's been beaten to death here and is futile until we have real numbers a few years into rec sales
