Those organizations who advocate for or benefit from or make money on colon / intestine procedures will want people to have them done once every 5 years or sooner, but it's the organizations who pay for the procedures (Medicare / Medicaid / Private Insurers) who determine whether or not the procedure will be covered.....People can get the procedure as often as they wish if they are willing to pay out of pocket for it...........If not, insurers will look to minimize payouts for tests / procedures, which means they will only cover them if deemed medically necessary or the particular healthplan a person has provides coverage for the procedures more often.......
