RE:It's worse than we thought95% - 96% - 97% value destruction - any way you calculate it the leadership has been abysmal and in any other organization would have been changed out with some sort of public execution.  Instead the somnolent Board and Voting Trust continue to either bury their heads or deflect any suggestions they have been derelict in their responsibility to all shareholders.

I am less pessimistic about the probability of an increase in the share price.  It won't come from inspired leadership to be sure and isn't likely to happen tomorrow.  It will come from outside forces over which the Board has no control and therefore they will have fewer opportunities to screw it up. 

I still hold out hope the Voting Trust will panic at some point, go against their natural instincts and do the right thing -  sack Honderich and sell the business to a capable steward of the Toronto Star and the other worthy Torstar businesses.
