RE:Inventory write down for part ($ 330K) =3,000 units

RE:Inventory write down for part ($ 330K) =3,000 unitsIs it really resolved though? What if there's a design flaw and the new component turns out to be insufficient as well? Identified anyway, which is good, because...

Since we're already talking about computers, for example, if you've ever built a PC, you probably know what thermal paste does in that context. They're also heavily marketed and one of the leading brands was once tested in an industrial lab alongside with similar goo that wasn't for regular retail consumer use. They found out the effectiveness of that thermal paste was about 1/10 of what was advertised.

It's still the best goo on the PC market, but if an engineer from the automotive industry goes by those standards, people might die or the very least stuck on the road.

Better now than after a million units installed.
