RE:RE:Time is running out and Bashers know thatGoldro,
No disrespect, but below is your post from April this year. Before getting people upset, please get details about this archaelogical site that you believe exists. It was not mentioned by the Romanian mining activists at the recent meeting or at any time in the past (and who would know better than activists who would like to block the project).
Rovina is not Rosia Montana. I also live in Romania and have for 10 years and know the history of both sites and companies.

And yes, Gica Baestean is a real person https://prodacia.wordpress.com/curriculum-vitae-gica-baestean/) and yes, he tells us that he became an expert archaeologist in 2011).

But for your peace of mind and that of everyone here, I will call the company tomorrow and ask if and why he was hired.

Although it's a huge gold-cooper resource, the second in Europe, 99% percent of Romanians didn't hear about Rovina. That's because there was no public national debate about this project because there are no "hot buttons" like cyanide use, archaeological site, villages and even churches to be moved and from this month's presentation we heard that the project will use dry-stack tailings, and not wet tailings which would disarm anyone who could try to find an objection to this project. This shows to me that the current management is well-informed, competent and knowing what has to be made here in order to push this project further. You cannot be upset for something that you don't know. And there is really no reason to be upset form any point of view.

The current govenment engaged may wage an pensions increases and know it desperately trying to attract new investments to sustain these measures.

I agree that usually the summer is the perfect time to announce a new mining permit, although in this case, in contrast with the Eldorado's Certej project, located at 20 miles away, which is almost fully permitted (20 millions to be invested this year to build the mine, and it will use cyanide and will have a big dam), the Rovina project have no controversial issues.
