RE:MPVD , PE, DD, my take

RE:MPVD , PE, DD, my takearlekino, your observations are spot on. PE is, and always has been, a solid, stand-up guy. Even a strong leader like PE, though, can only take non-stop flak from a guy like DD for so long. I'm guessing that, when DD turned the BoD against PE, PE said "Enough's enough. I'm out of here." Now we're left with a messy situation where the small shareholders have lost their champion and we're stuck with a BoD controlled by DD. A lot of us would be quite willing to sell to De Beers at $6+ per share, but I doubt that DD would entertain such an offer. One thing we can do is to keep the heat on this lightweight BoD to remember that they have a fiduciary responsibility to the small shareholders. The fact that MPVD is listed in the litigious minded USA helps.
