Ontario government thinks central control is good, pure nanny state bs, under the cover of protecting the public from abuse by private interests. That is just silly marxist thinking.
Alcohol and tobacco are far more dangerous yet are sold by private retail in much of the country, which proves that this kind of government control is just not called for.
The control over safety and supply of cannabis happens at the LP level, this is just something Ontario does not "get." This is funny since large producers are there. It is as if Ontario does not know that Colorado and other States are models to be studied and emulated.
Canada is 36 million, Ontario is 13.5 million or about 38 percent of the country by population so Ontarios decision does matter a lot, but I don't think other provinces are going to do the same.
In that regard we deserve to be laughed at by ourselves and those outside the country as it is just funny and stupid and marxist bs. Laughing at Trump and the US Health Care debate is what everyone outside the US does, but that does not deminish the stupidity of Ontarios decision.
