Mergers/Acquisitions always possible but the sections of the article (below) would indicated that JDS had some financial issues that do not exist with EXN. Having said that I guess it comes down to whether they want to see if they find a massive CRD or take the money now based on the perceived potential. Coeur revealed that JDS was hit with two stop-work orders earlier this year from B.C.s Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources related to dust in the mill facility. Coeur figures it will need to spend between US$25 million and US$35 million in incremental capital before declaring commercial production at Silvertip in early 2018. The company said the primary investments will include mill optimization, as well as underground development and drilling.
