RE:RE:RE:RE:LLRI think they are negotiating a future tax and royalty deal. I suspect that Lucara will hedge the good possibility that there are more and bigger stones ( why else would the have done the recent upgrade) and they will "sell" the 1109c stone for...... less royalites/taxes on future production. Problem with that is, if gov figures later they were screwed, they could just create trouble by expropriating the mine/diamonds. What we have been Seeing here over the past few months is Country risk being subtracted from the stock price. Unfortunately I don't think it is over yet. If this mine was in Canada we would be at $5+ already or already bought out.

I think what this means is the the government wants first dibbs at whatever price is offered on special stones. So if we had an offer of 60 million , Botswana has the right to match that bid but we still have the right to resuse to sell at or under 60 million. I think this is more than far, considering these are Botswana diamonds after all.
