RE:RE:RE:RE:No real news yet??Totally agree with you that the first GI scope manufacturer to fully endorse the VP4 process in a documented format as compatible with their devices will have a "leg up" on competitors. And you're right, having the instrument reprocessing IFU is critical. I don't know that the FDA can "force" a method of reprocessing onto USA Sterile Processing Departments. AAMI, however, can help influence things as they set the guidelines for SPD's around the country that accreditation bodies pay attention to. 3M will also get a boost from this as they currently offer an endorsed method of gas sterilization with EtO, understanding it's a slow process and can be a hazard to staff if there's residual gas. But, Olympus does endorse this method, as stated in their endorsement letter for the 3M Steri-Vac.
