Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

86% of California Cannabis may have Pesticide Issues

86% of California Cannabis may have Pesticide IssuesDespite more than two decades of medical cannabis sales,  California does not have a regualted market.  Report published today by Steep Hill suggest that 86% of all California clones are contaminated.  When mother clones are contaminated with pesticides so are the offspring.

Reports such as the one from California emphsize the need to have a strong management team that knows something about commecial farming.  Both John and Cole come from families that have many generations of agricultural and greenhouse experience.

It is one thing to build a greenhouse, but it is another to grow to scale without using pesticides.
