RE:RE:RE:RE:9rookieYou buy the debentures in "face values" of $1000 USD. So essentially 1 debenture is $1000 USD at par, but right now is trading at about $920 USD (so it is cheap). The debenture is convertible to common stock at $1.95 USD (which is roughly $2.45 Canadian).
$1000 USD/$1.95 USD = ~513 shares of common stock upon conversion sometime down the road. Until the stock price is above ~$2.45 you just collect interest, just the same as a dividend.
