Pilbara Minerals Limited is an Australia-based lithium company. The Company is primarily engaged in the exploration, development, and mining of minerals in Australia. Its 100% owned Pilgangoora hard-rock lithium operation is located approximately 120 kilometers (kms) from Port Hedland in Western Australia’s resource-rich Pilbara region. The operation consists of two processing plants: the Pilgan Plant, located on the northern side of the Pilgangoora area and produces spodumene and tantalite concentrates, and the Ngungaju Plant is located to the south produces spodumene concentrate. It owns 70% of the Mt Francisco project, which is located 50 km south-west of the Pilgangoora Project and hosts the large occurrence of outcropping pegmatites located nearby to Port Hedland. It is also pursuing a proposed downstream joint venture (JV) for the development of an approximately 43,000 tons per annum (tpa) lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) lithium chemical conversion facility in South Korea.

RE:The best yet to come - Port AlberniThis situation reminds me so much of a similar story that played out in the 1990s with a company called Global Stone.  They traded on the TSX and were focused on providing construction aggregates to the Greater Toronto area.  The market hated the company because there was a huge construction recession here for a few years after the bubble burst in 1990.  

Just before things started to heat up again, the company got bought out on the cheap.  Since then, we've had 20 years plus of building boomtimes .  I can just imagine how much the shares would be worth if they had not been bought out before the good times started rolling.

Unfortunately, that's the way the stock market works.  If investors today are unwilling to wait, someone will take advantage of the situation.  At least we've got a bit of a bidding war going on right now.
