Zancudo GCM has three seperate deposit any one of which would be the envy of a junior miner . It`s possible that the Zancudo could be the biggest of them all . IAM Gold is six months into their first part 1 year option on the property . Don`t expect results but expect them to take up part two of the option .
Five or six years ago GCM did 14000 meters of drilling but haven`t released the results as far as I can see . They aren`t 43-101 compliant but they still have all the core stored . They left the project for lack of money to concentrate on Segovia . At that time a private miner ran a 120 ton per day mill at the Indepencia mine at Zancudo . Even though they were inefficient with low recoveries they still got an average grade of 14.6 grams AU and 108 grams AG per ton . Another small private company , Sabeletas processed the old slag heaps there and got 4 grams per ton AU and 80 grams per ton AG and that was with poor recovery rates . Those grades would make a mine in Canada .
Zancudo is huge . The structure runs for at least 3.5 kms . It has been shallow mined all along that distance by small scale miners since the 1790`s . Not only does Gran Colombia hold all of this but all the land adjacent to both sides . NONE OF IT , has every been explored by modern methods so the potential is huge .
