Where did you get the 28'th as last record date for divvy?

At least your info of buying 2 days before record date is correct and if you buy on 26 your record date is 28 which still makes it eligi for the divvy.

It was three days up to last month but that changed recently. 

To my knowledge it's the same with all Canadian brokerages.
