RE:RE:RE:RE:Daimler Electric
One further note - TIMELINES are mentioned on the Daimler web site. So we know the count down sequence for blast off. Construction of the Tuscalooza plant begins in 2018 (months away). With production beginning in 2020 or sometime thereafter - depending obviously on plant completion. Per the statement...
"Construction work for the new one million square-foot facility in Tuscaloosa is expected to begin in 2018, with operations planned to start at the beginning of the next decade."
Now Tesla demonstrated what an accelerated timeline can look like. So we know a plant can be operational in a couple of years.
So I am sure people are saying .. "Yeah but that is only meaningfull if they get a deal going with CSPG".
I say it is inevitible. FUnny don't you think how an unsolicated offer appears on the table before the Tuscalooza announcement, isn't it?
One might say that was contrived by management to boost the stock... but then they would have to know the announcement was coming... which if they did means they are in talks with Daimler Mercedes AND were allowed to say it.
If they didn't know about the announcement, which is hard to believe as Mercedes would have been in talks with everyone in Alabama, possibly under NDA, then my theory of the shadow buyer is even more possible....someone knows something, and they want to score bigtime.
