- He was a key afternoon panelist, described in the speakers list as a "Graphite mining engineer and one of the premier Graphite experts in the world, having helped define 3 Graphite deposits and having built and operated one of only two producing Graphite mines in North America" ... "Mr. Baxter's Coated Spherical Purified Graphite (CSPG) battery-ready Graphite work at Alabama Graphite Corp. is widely regarded as the premier battery-ready program in the industry."
- The Moderator for the "Moderated Battery Energy Storage Technology Panel" was Dr. Bharat Balasubramanian (Dr. B) Executive Director of the U of Alabama Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies and former R&D researcher at MERCEDES-BENZ - he retired from MERCEDES-BENZ/Daimler AG in Stuttgart, Germany as VP Group Research and Advanced Engineering in 2012
- DOE Manager of Energy Storage portfolio Dr. Vincent Sprenkle was in attendance
- Prof Karsten Pinkwart was also a panelist, of the Fraunhofer Institute of Chemical Technology, an expert in surface layer behaviour of lithium and lithium ion batteries
- Jagjit Nanda, Team Lead and senior staff scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory was also a panelist with CEO Don Baxter
- Shaun Gunter was also in attendance, a senior renewables market specialist at Gulf Power. He has done extensive work Tesla Power walls.
Bottom Line: What an August group of experts and players in the energy space! Bravo CEO Baxter and the Alabama Graphite team (note Ann-Marie Pamplin, VP Investor Relations and Jesse Edmondson, Director of Business Development and Government and Community Relations and Project Geologist in the audience, as Ty Dinwoodie is snapping the picture - i.e. the whole team is there and engaged)
