Most reading this board probably do not understand how wells are energized beit with nitrogen, co2, propane, or just frac water and need time to be drawn down which continues after being put online when certain industry and facility capacity requirements are achieved during cleanup. ie. sand, water, nitrogen, co2, h2s percentages depending on the formation characteristics. Was a well tester for 15 plus years so I welcome the upcoming discussion from the ones who disagree. That being said.... there are a small percentage of wells that do increase in production over time after the initial testing and cleanup but it is rare. Not all new wells need to be fracked to maximize production either. Those are the holy grail. Most wells are also choked back. Flowing at maximum rates aka. absolute open flow can destroy the underground formation and undue the required results from the frac. There is a lot more to it than just opening the valve and letting er rip. It's a science. Sort of.

Glad to see there really are honest people on the board, and willing to post, notwithstanding the flood of mindless pumping.
Good summary that anyone can understand.
