I asked him how to planned to turn this around, and stated that a lot of shareholders aren't in favour of simply hoping for higher oil prices to save the company. He basically said that asset sales are a last resort, and that White Oak was not in favour of that option at this time. He claims that Eagle is highly torqued to the price of oil, such that a 10% increase in oil would result in a 25% or more increase in cash flow. He saif they need 3 things to happen for the share price to increase: 1. Oil over $55 2. Good results from North Texas 3. More analyst coverage. He emphasized the last point, stating that Eagle trading is almost exclusively retail. So he was planning on talking to analysts to try to 'get the story out', which he believes will help. I'm skeptical on that, because analysts won't help the company reduce debt. It seemed to our that he was high on hope, but short on concrete measures to get this company headed upwards. If North Texas is a bust, we're screwed.
Is there any good news to be found in the Eagle story? The problem here is simply bad management and even worse oversight by the BOD!
