Partial Transcipt of the Ellis Martin/Don Baxter interview

Partial Transcipt of the Ellis Martin/Don Baxter interviewEM: Im Ellis Martin. Join me in a conversation with Donald Baxter, the CEO of Alabama Graphite Corp., trading on the TSX Venture Exchange as CSPG and in the US as CSPGN. With an advanced graphite flake project in the state of Alabama, Alabama Graphite intends on being a reliable long term supplier of specialty, high purity graphite products. Don, welcome back to the program. If you dont mind, give us an overview of the company. DB: We are perceived a little differently than we perceive ourselves. We are a technology company focused in battery materials, namely graphite process graphite for materials. Its based on resource and a mine but overall our main focus is secondary processing and being able to supply much needed battery ready graphite for the various battery chemistries, but namely the lithium ion battery industry which is going to be a major consumer of natural graphite for anodes for the lithium ion batteries. EM: Would you explain why it is so important for your companys product to be sourced and made in America? DB: I think the key thing is even looking at the most recent sort of slant in the United States as far as becoming independent and being more America first, right now the United States is completely dependent on China and outside sources for graphite and you see companies like Tesla that are building plants in Nevada to make lithium ion batteries - American made batteries and vehicles, yet they are completely reliant on China for a critical component of their materials so we are looking to be answer to that and take away that complete dependency on China and other foreign entities for the United States and be able to process and make these materials in the United States. EM: Alabama Graphite owns the most advanced stage graphite project in the contiguous United States with its two graphite projects located in the state of Alabama. I note with interest Don that Mercedes announced recently that it is investing more than $1 Billion to set up electric vehicle production in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to build a battery factory nearby. Lets talk about that. This is big news. DB: Its just tremendous and we have been talking indirectly with Mercedes and just the fact that we are within Alabama and the state of Alabama have been obviously promoting us to their efforts work with Mercedes and ultimately Mercedes will have a cell manufacturer they may make the packs but they will be bring with them a cell manufacturer possibly even into Alabama. I cant name them, but all I can say is that we are in discussions with them we are very much on the radar of Mercedes and this is huge news for us. We cant say anything material at this stage of the game but there is an obvious connection between what Mercedes is doing in Alabama and what we are doing in Alabama.
