Zijin Mining

Zijin MiningWithout Zijin Mining's 100 million dollar investment in Pretium a couple of years ago it is unlikely that the mine would have gotten financed or built. To cast doubt about Zijin is unprofessional to say the least.
They operate around the world , Africa, Canada, Australia as well as China where they are a very large producer of Gold and Copper
They are partners with Ivanhoe in the Kakula,Kamoa copper project in the DRC and spent over $400 million for a share in the discovery and are partners with Ivanhoe in thedevelopment  with a committment to arrange financing . Perhaps the DRC is not the best place in the world to do business but with more than one chinese company, including the chinese government's involvment in providing infrastructure in several African countries-it is likely that Zijin will be able to bring Kamoa-Kakula into production without having the government grab the asset.
You may not like the Chinese but they are looking out for themselves by ensuring a supply of raw materials for their very large and growing economy.
