There will be more news on Serena, but when?July 25th: NUG announced the discovery of a new zone. Yes, some time probably passed after they learned about it before it was announced.
August 8th: NUG announced drilling three holes had commenced in the zone, now named Serena.
September 6th: NUG anounced Serena drill results and that N. Iceberg and Serena possibly converge. That was the news release that emphatically used the term "coveted prizes" with a link defining them. That release also said, "Drilling to further define and expand the gold content of the Iceberg gold deposit will resume in late September.". Followed by more links about "coveted prizes" & convergence.
September 13th: The VIO results were announced. The final paragreph began with, "Drilling to further define these recent discoveries and expand on the gold content of the Iceberg gold deposit will resume in the fall."
September 19th: CEO James Anderson spoke at Beaver Creek. I wasn't able to give it full attention. I think he said there would be a fall drill program, but I don't recall he said it was underway. But, he would not have to announce it.
Are drills turning? Could be. The September 6th announcement said drilling in, "Late September". Today is the 31st, tomorrow the 32nd.
Do I expect results this week? Possible, but I think another week or more to allow for completing multiple drills and multiple assays, followed by staff review.
