RE:GCM Yup , no problems here That is very old
fake news. The company has already confirmed in their conference call and from IR that they didn't file any lawsuit. Contact IR yourself and you will see.
They are no longer pursuing open pit at Marmato, they are going for underground bulk mining which avoids disturbing the villagers. That problem has disappeared.
They recently settled with the illegal miners, which is why the share price has been rising since then. The settlement is a permanent solution because the remaining illegal miners will work under contract for GCM, in the same manner as the existing contract miners that have already been working for GCM.
https://www.stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2017/09/05/gran-colombia-gold-announces-resumption-of-normal-operations-at-segovia Their contract miners are well paid and didn't go on strike, it was the illegal miners that protested.
Now that the remaining illegal miners will be working under contract for GCM, that problem has disappeared too.
They maintained prouction guidance for the year, even with that disturbance, 150,000 to 160,000 oz for 2017. If you look at the recently released mine plan for Segovia, you will see that their production will jump up in 2018 to around 195k oz (with 25k oz added by Marmato).
Do your DD.

The National Post reports in its Tuesday, April 12, edition that Gran Colombia Gold has filed a $700-million lawsuit against Colombia under the Colombian-Canadian free-trade agreement after the government ordered it to cease operations at the El Burro site in Marmato until it has further consulted with local residents (all figures U.S.). The Post's Luke Taylor writes that the Marmato project has been plagued by controversy ever since operations began ten years ago. April 11 2017
Over the last 10 days, the company has been monitoring the actions of the Mesa Minera, a local mining collective comprised in its majority by illegal miners, as they attempted to convene a civil disruption and protest in response to the increased measures being implemented by the Colombian government to restrict illegal mining. Although the Mesa Minera has been in discussion with the various levels of government and the company since last year, they have not yet been able to reach a resolution. Discussions are continuing, and the company is committed to achieving its objectives through this process despite the coercive actions of certain local interests. July 31 2017
