RE:THIS is a BIOLOGIC DEPOSIT, there is ZERO doubt ...My thoughtson Docmz's theory, please elaborate on it and tell me where I go wrong, I am no expert:
Bob will do a write up about Docmz's theory, which is a very plausible theory. I have no doubt that he will discuss it with QH before the write up is published... Now just locate where the ancient river deltas were at that time, then you know in what companies to invest.... That will be the area where the gold bearing conglomerate layers most likely will be the widest and thickest.
You can also conclude that the south eastern area of the Pilbara is less interesting. Question remains how wide and thick the conglomerate beds are, or how deep in the water these mats of bacteria were still plentiful present to attract and absorb the gold from the sea... This depends on two things:
- How long were the bacteria active/alive: When the sea retracted did the bacteria live on to create a very long stretch of gold bearing conglomerate where part of it was on shore (bc f sea retracting) and part still in the water panning the gold out of the sea.
- It also depends on the slope of the shore in to the water, for light is necessary for them to be able to live.. The less steep the shore the longer the cyanobacteria supercities (Copy paste from docmz ;-) were able to stretch in to the water..
The watermelon shape formed slowly because of the motion of the sea, just like pebbles on the shore are mostly oval shaped.
Hope to receive some feedback I am trying to understand.. And sorry for my English I am no native speaker, hope you get what i mean though?
