RE:Unisol Magazine – 4th EditionHere it is from the mag. Petroleum drIllIng ventures Preliminary outcomes from Sproule (Canada) for integrated seismic interpretation and NI51-101 resource certification were received and are now under in-house review. A draft report from CGG Robertson (UK) for integrated seismic interpretation work of Block 2A was received. Meetings and discus- sions on interpretation work performed have been conducted with CGG at the Dubai office. CGG has identified two potential targets: Well B and Well C. An integrated review of seismic interpreta- tion reports from engaged service contrac- tors is under progress for final compilation of various disciplinary works (petroleum ge- ology, structural geology, seismic inversion, reservoir characterisation, volumetric, etc.). Based on draft integrated interpretation results, technical discussions with service providers are in progress for the finalisation of the SOW for ultra-deep drilling operations in Kenya. The technical assessment of drilling software for planning and execution for ultra-deep ex- ploratory wells from reputed service providers is also under process. The EGME team is cur- rently in discussions with rig manufactures regarding the availability of a higher-capacity rig, which may be required for deeper wells in Block 2A.
