RE:RE:RE:SUPER COLONIES...When I was a kid my parents gave me a bottle with a blue solution in it with a packet of small seed  crystals. When I added the tiny crystals to the bottle the colour became fainter  and the crystals grew to form intersting "nuggets". If the ancient sea contained hi concentrations of gold and this gold was absorbed by some of the cyanobacteria then is there not a possibility that the bacteria with the highest concentration of gold would act like "seed crytals" and start to draw gold out of the surrounding environment and form nuggets. In areas of the sea with the highest concentration of cyanobacteria ie. super colonies one would expect to find a higher concentration of nuggets...just an idea from a non geologist LOL
