FGD short sales drop - a positive sign

FGD short sales drop - a positive sign
Another positive sign for the stock price is the decline in the value of short sales. The numbers have been going down for a while so, clearly, the short sellers are figuring that the risk-reward ratio doesn`t look too promising these days.

Back in February, short sales were 24% of the total. That`s the highest they ever got to. The decline started in July and shorts are now only 6.3% of the total. However, back in Jan-Feb, the numbers were as low as 1.53% - 3.6% so we still have some way to go.  We`ll get there. After Q3 results are posted, I`m willing to bet that the ratio will drop to around 2%.
