Air Baltic buying 14 more CSeries

Air Baltic buying 14 more CSeriesFrom their website: Air Baltic Carries 500,000 passengers on Bombardier CS300

"By the end of 2019 airBaltic plans to have 20 Bombardier CS300 aircraft in its fleet. By 2021, as an all-Bombardier operator, airBaltic will have one of the youngest jet fleets in Europe. With the next order, already being negotiated, eventually, airBaltic will increase the number of Bombardier C Series aircraft on its fleet to at least 34."

Air Baltic wants their place in line and to secure the pricing they were negotiating on. I'd expect to see an order from them for 14 CS300 plus options within the next 3 weeks. Those that were looking seriously at the CSeries will now want to quickly secure their place in line.

On top of that, a few countries are seriously pissed at the Americans and will look at the CSeries/Airbus combination favourably, likely contenders in the next year could include - UK (EasyJet, British Airways), Canada (Westjet), Qatar.
