RE:Sea of RedFor the record, crosstrading happens all the time. A broker controls more than one account. They sell from one and buy in the other and it gets recorded on the market. The technique isn't on the up and up, but brokers use it to tick the stock up or down depending what their interest is. When you see for example broker 79 sell a small quantity of shares to broker 79 to move the SP down a penny, it's not usually a coincidence. That's some crosstrading going on to manipulate the stock price. If you don't believe this is happening, you really do have to give your head a shake.
