RE:I think NSU gains fade tomorrow
Those here who are long enough in this game (not NSU specifically, but the stock market in general) know that it's not fundamentals that matter but the perception of the fundamentals by the market. Seemingly, the drop WAS a speculation and Heather wasn't holding her laugh as you implied. There can be dozens of conspiracy theories about that sudden 3 days huge drop . I can suggest 2-3 and they might be as good or bad as anybody else's ideas. What we know now that Q3 results are "OK", not stellar but neither they are bad. "Revenues look soft" Welll.. $71M. Stockpiled gold material is scheduled to be sold "in October" Quote: "The Company will complete the monetization of 15,000 gold equivalent ounces from stockpiles in the fourth quarter with the final sale scheduled for October" . OK, it's not clear how much out of those 15K were sold already and how many are available for sale. What is clear is that in Q3 around 1KOz were sold adding $1,261K to the revenue. That part probably will be clarified during the CC in the morning. If they still HAVE 15Koz for sale- it's essential. If it's just what's left out of those 15 -pocket money. Or, should I say, our dividend money for the next Q. BTW, I'm against elimination of the dividend. What the h..! It's just $12M per year. Gives you some satisfaction and warm feelings when the stock drops $0.25-0.30 in one day. Receiving one cent per quarter makes you feel that there still is something that hypothetically belongs to you but they can take it away from you. "Without prior notice". OK, back to business. Or numbers, to be precise. Revenues for this Q were: $62,228 ,000 for the zinc concentrate. Mind you, 43M lb were sold while 57M were produced. Most likely , 14M lb will go into Q4 sales in addition to what they will produce in Q4 in a normal way of operations and plus boundary stockpiles. They already reversed around $2M in write-downs. Seems like it will be more reverses following.
