So if more people are getting tested, either via capsule endoscopy or Cologuard, it’s positive because if they have a positive result they have to come in for a colonoscopy."
Wouldn't Cologuard cut down on the number of colonoscopies anyway?
Before: Colonoscopy was the only option do investigative work.
Now: Cologuard can be used instead as an initial investigative tool, and if the result is negative, a colonoscopy would likely not be performed at all / paid for by insurance.
