Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

if you want to frame it in those terms fine. But let me ask you what are the margins on bud like that (did you look at it?) Does the higher production cost end up with a product that sells at a higher price point yielding over all better margins? In an over supplied market what will the consumer buy. When you have options you buy quality. We are talking cents maybe a buck per gram in difference of production cost. You aren't asking the customer to eat a significant mark up for much better quality. People on the streets already pay way more for quality. I know where I can get a pound of well grown blueberry right now from an mmar grower for $1200 the same guys offers a lemon kush for $2600 both grown by him 1 far better quality. Tough to say until you have the numbers but what I can say is the lowest cost production does not automarically equal best business platform if the dried bud or direct concertrate is the final product
