RE:RE:Punt Until After Election

RE:RE:Punt Until After ElectionMy sense is that you are correct, MacBook. Government's arbitrary delineation of the Paramo with absolutely no study or analysis has come back to haunt them.

Years ago (decades actually) with David Rovig at the helm, EOM had a strategy and a plan and had Government support. Then Uribe left and we were stuck with Santos and his courting of the environment vote and our aspirations went the way of the dodo. Ultimately we inherited Anna and her gang of thugs. No plan, no strategy other than "let's meet in Spain". They made no use of the Ecodes Study, no legal challenge, they simply put all their eggs in the arbitration basket and let EOM go to seed.

With this ruling I truly hope new management steps up and engages with local community leaders and Government and beats them all about the head and shoulders with the Ecodes Study and releases it to the news media. The Study is great ammo for the community leaders and Minesa. There is no legal nor scientific basis for the Government's designated Paramo but no one challenges it.

I hope the new board is not "all or nothing" on the arbitration train. There are alternatives that should be explored.

And, I hope Schiff returns to his old upbeat ways and stops his doom and gloom theories. I like the old Schiff much more.
