RE:Tesla Buyout

RE:Tesla BuyoutTesla doesn't have the cash. They are burning through money like a dog pissing in a snow bank right now. Also with tesla's current battery supply chain they don't deal with upstream lithium producers (miners) because they get their battery materials from panasonic.Tesla would only consider buying an upstream lithium producer like PE if they decided to vertically integrate their battery materials supply and stop leaning on Panasonic. Basically, not going to happen anytime soon (maybe in the far future). But vertically integrating upstream battery materials production would require a MASSIVE amount of Capx. Capx Tesla can't afford to spend as it will need to raise even more cash just to get the model 3 to half of its production goal. Basically don't get your hopes up.

I hope all the best for PE as I am a shareholder (have been for a long time). This is a long play that could pay off very well if management is competent, but could go to almost zero if they f*ck up (and there are many ways to f*ck up.
