RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Canaccord equity research...
I just don't see how you can class performance like this last quarter as, not delivering. They've been saying for years, how lumpy the patent business can be, and long time shareholders have certainly witnessed same. Certainly the share price has underperformed, but that's a tough one to control. The reality is that the current share price compared to valuation and prospects, is ludicrous. I'm sure that if each of us had the opportunity to call the shots, we would do things at least slightly different. For example, I would have bumped the divvy by .0025 just to send a message. But no matter. Instead of having the divvy cash in my pocket, it's still within the company and therefore within the value of it's shares, which are identically proportional themselves, in my pocket. Just a little more abstract. Besides, dividend adjustments are more within the realm of the responsibility of the BOD than within management. I recently read the call transcript, which I've come to prefer over listening. I was very impressed. It helped immensely in understanding how wrong the current market valuation is. For example, even if they're only half right about IRD's TACS system, it's going to be huge. That's only one of several future indicators within the call that impressed me. We've come a long way Bab, since pennies per share. Many of us have been in or out partially or wholly, numerous times times over the years. Do I wish I had sold every share just before the last quarter? You bet. But absolutely only with 20/20 hindsight. Not for a second based on future prospects. The current price is hugely influenced by inert investment tools, namely Stops, email notifications, etc. In their current application, they are gut based tools. They certainly aren't cerebral based. However, they do become cerebral, but unfortunately on the irrational side. The paranoia side. But that can be an opportunity, as irrational as it is. I don't like volatility so much, but I do like the companies variability. Hard to buy low and sell high if the share price is always low, or always high. So Yes, the market occasionally does Stupid. But just watch it carefully, because it almost always cautiously corrects itself. But then, in the moments before, it pays to be a contrarian.
