Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:Aphria is prepared for the great green rush with a NEW LOGO!Not too much different than their old logo, but it's nice all the same. It's going to be interesting once there's a clear direction on what will be allowed in terms of marketing.

While Canopy is the leader in terms of market cap and capacity, I think it's a bit foolish when I hear they will be #1 for life when recreational hasn't even started. Here's my amateur opinion :

Day 1 of Recreation nobody is going to care what 'company' they are smoking. What they will care about is THC/CBD ratio, the name of their strain (maybe there are restrictions on this), packaging (you better believe there will be restrictions on this ), and perhaps most importantly THE PRICE.

Right now the LP can control 2 things; price and quality of their cannabis. We know Aphria can afford to undercut other LPs because they are the lowest cost producer, and I have no reason to say that their cannabis isn't high quality (I am a very once-in-a-blue-moon user, and I'm no expert in this field). In this sense I think we are already ahead of most LPs, and probably not a stretch to say all other LPs. If we can keep at par or blow everyone else out of the water in marketing our products once there's a clearer picture, then we're off to the races.

TL;DR We are a powerhouse in the medicinal field, and there's no reason to believe that won't trickle into the recreational market.
