I believe what I see and they said in press release the first planned purchases start next week Nov/20.
Also, a dangerous game for managment to just let the share price collapse in tax loss season.
Bad for their reputation. The worse it gets the harder to recovery and smart management knows this.
Interesting thought you have, but I don't aggree.
