This is all about the Alabama vote for the senate. Roy Moore is the favorate and has been accused of being a pedophile. Even with these allegations Roy Moore is still favoured to win. The senate has said they will try to bar Roy Moore and some people have promoted the idea of appointing Jeff Sessions as a replacement. Sessions was the original senator from Alabama and this runoff election was to replace him after he got the AG appointment by Trump.
It is an idea but this scene can go a lot of different directions.

The senate seat election is about 4 weeks away.
