"John Priestner's Vanadium One Energy Corp. (VONE), down 1.5 cents to nine cents on 1.31 million shares, has received assays of up to 0.74 per cent vanadium oxide over two metres from the South zone at its Mont Sorcier project near Chibougamau in Northern Quebec. Vanadium One drilled 1,000 metres across seven holes in a program aimed at confirming a large historical resource on the project. The company processed rock from five of the holes; the other two it is saving for metallurgical tests.

Mr. Priestner, president and CEO, says his goal all along has been to confirm the old results and he believes that he and his crew are "well on our way to doing this." He says that more drilling and assaying will be needed to upgrade the old resource to current standards. That old resource estimate lists 273.7 million tons hosting 0.61 per cent vanadium oxide, recoverable in 95.2 million tons of magnetite concentrate."
