RE:Can they raise the dividend given their cash position?I dont think a boost in dividend is needed, it already pays well. This is not the kind of company that pays a 2% divy but grows the share price. They have always been a company that just pays pretty much everything back to shareholders. With an 8%-9% return you dont need share price growth. If you want you can create the same effect by keeping 2% of the divy and reinvesting the other 6% into more shares.
also yes the cash position went down 8mil but I can cherry pick a line fron the financials cash flow that shows they drew 7mil on their revolving line of credit in 2016 and paid back 1mil on that line of credit this year for an 8mil swing in cash. Looking at cash position, or any one item, from the full financials is really just not relevant, you need to look at it all. If you must pick one line at least pick net income, which on sep 2016 was $984,000 and this year is at $29,000,000, but even that does not tell the complete and correct story.
