Aeroplan CryptoCurrency: "You Take My Breath Away...&&&" !!!To: "
wideopenthrottl" … "don’t hold your breath"?? Sounds like you have held your breath too long and it has affected your ability to think. Also, you talk a lot of skeptical nonsense about an Aeroplan CryptoCurrency considering your own interest in cryptocurrencies…but anyways, here are some comments:
Q: Why would Aimia use a crypto currency??
A:
Aimia Cryptocurrency would be a logical evolution of a traditional points-based loyalty program. Strong interest in cryptocurrencies (i.e. Bitcoin etc.) and technology advances (i.e. blockchain) make an Aeroplan CryptoCurrency a sound strategic business decision.
There are some key financial elements to any cryptocurrency that are the basis of the business model. Those same elements would make the Aeroplan CryptoCurrency a financial success, together with some Aimia/Aeroplan competitive advantages.
Also, presently Aeroplan members can earn points through various partners but redeeming those points for rewards with those same partners is a cumbersome process. An Aeroplan CryptoCurrency would make both EARNING and REDEEMING rewards simple and effortless. Furthermore, Aimia/Aeroplan possess the KEY INGREDIENTS for a successful Aeroplan CryptoCurrency. If you want to know what those are, you will need to dumpster-dive through other Bullboard posts…happy diving!!
Q: "Why would they want to allow the value of their points to be outside of their control (documented and tradable)....they like points to slowly diminish in value NOT GAIN in value....they want to be able to devalue and even declare points null and void if conditions ever required it (think bankruptcy or law suits)"
A: Not sure if you are asking questions or just rambling. Anyways, so you are saying that the Aimia/Aeroplan VALUE PROPOSITION to Aeroplan members should be that their points will DIMINISH in value over time??? Also, your headspace is contemplating bankruptcy for Aimia?? Interesting comments but your head is in the wrong place!!
