I think that's unlikely. Some of the insiders are liquidating -- selling off shares that have been purchased recently through automated purchase programs (i.e. no tax loss since cost basis is approximately current share price).
Hansen is a bit different, but I still doubt it's tax losses. You really think he's just waiting to buy back in after the clearing period?
And, regardless, the CEO selling off a substantial portion of his equity for tax losses is a big red flag, and certainly doesn't bode well for the strategic alternatives process.
It truly mystifies me. The last Q report would makes me feel great about the safety of the debs (which I hold), but the selling raises a big question mark.
