both are good to have... long term the TFSA is good as you'll never pay any taxes on it however RRSP accounts let you balance losses to possible recoup on your losses or defer taxes. One thing I have learnt the system in North America even if you have lost money if you know how you will make money off of lost money lol. Always a way
